Riad Chayma is an English owned and managed boutique hotel with exceptional staff providing the best of traditional Moroccan hospitality. This elegant riad is located in the traditional Bab Doukkala neighbourhood of the Medina, perfectly positioned in between the heart of the ‘old city’ of the medina – including the lively Jemaa El Fna and world famous Souks – and the heart of the new town of Gueliz, this riad can be easily reached within a 10 minute walk of each of these destinations.
All of the riad’s rooms have been beautifully decorated and feature a luxurious marble bathroom with traditional tadelakt walls and a modern candy stripe effect. The oversized suites boast a deep marble bath and warm cozy fire place. Additional amenities include air-conditioning/heating, an oversized wardrobe, personal safe, hair dryer, an I-pod docking station, complimentary bottled water, sumptuous memory foam bed, high quality linen, fluffy towels and delicious bath & body products.
Like all traditional Moroccan Riads, the rooms of the house are arranged around the central open-air courtyard. The courtyard is adorned with beautiful filigree lighting, vibrant Bougainvillea and a peaceful water fountain. The Salon is a fusion of traditional Moroccan craftsmanship combined with a chic contemporary influence. The remarkable fireplace with its intricate plaster carving, stunning artisan lights, ancient fossils and artefacts complement the floor to ceiling glass windows, polished marble floor and designer furniture to create an opulent living space. The room is also air-conditioned and has a flat screen TV with Satellite channels, I-pod docking station, CD player, selection of interesting books and familiar board games.
The plunge pool is an extension of the opulent salon with its floor to ceiling arched glass walls and over sized mirrors. The ceiling is an array of spectacular hand crafted spheres creating a star like atmosphere to cool off under.
The Roof Terrace is a hidden oasis with swaying coco palms, fragrant creepers and exotic flowers high above the streets of the busy Medina. Its the perfect place to soak up the glorious Moroccan sun on one of the sun lounges or the comfy day bed; whilst sipping a refreshing drink. The large tent features 2 antique Berber tent poles and has a shaded seating area making it an ideal place to relax with a book or pot of mint tea.

Children from 12 years accepted, younger children upon application. There is a supplement of 15 euros per night for a third person in the Deluxe Suites.

The Mint Room features a luxurious super king-sized bed with an illuminated bed head made of 2 intricately carved appliqués, creating a warm authentic Moroccan ambience. Old and new contrast harmoniously in this delightful room, with chic chairs, designer tables, a thick soft rug underfoot and a collection of antiques.

This open plan suite has been designed with a sleek and edgy king size bed which features a stunning filigree light inset into the impressive tadelakt head piece. Accented with hints of vibrant orange and stylish charcoal, this spacious suite features a cosy fireplace, oversized floor cushions, comfy chairs and an antique tea table.

The Saffron Suite has intricate carved feature walls to the collection of stunning artisan lights. This open plan Suite has an elegant arched bed chamber featuring a domed ceiling and hand carved Arabic design and tadelakt walls. The cushioned seating area and sumptuous arm chairs provide a perfect place to relax as the luxurious fabrics, intimate lighting and sensual colours combine to create a seductive atmosphere.

The spacious Bougainvillea room is one of our deluxe suites, boasting a king size bedroom with a Juliette balcony and a personal living room with a traditional fire place, flat screen TV with satellite channels and glamorous chaise. The opulent bedroom features a tadelakt platform bed with an illuminated filigree headboard and is adorned with vibrant fabrics of shimmering silk and rich velvet. The commissioned furniture and artistic lighting complete this exceptional suite.
