Riad-Hotel Al Khansaa is located behind the Scala, in the centre of Medina in Essaouira, close to the souks and the historic monuments. The house was known in the 19th century as English cultural institution. The building was left in ruins until the owner, a painter, decided to transform it in a charming hotel.
Twelve spacious rooms with en suite bathrooms are distributed on three floors and have a wide fountain of light right in the middle. The large patio with a beautiful fountain sculpture welcomes you in the dinning room where the decor in a Moroccan style blends with the modern.
When you come back from your visit through Essaouira or an excursion in the surrounding areas in the calm of the riad, you can forget about the exhausting day and relax on the great terrace with a panoramic view over the Medina of Essaouira, the Scala and the ocean.
