Located in the desirable Bab Doukkala, Dar Rocmarra is a stunning, authentic riad, which has been totally refurbished by local master craftsmen. Original features such as cedar wood beamed ceilings, with the addition of en-suite bathrooms in traditional sculpted tadelakt, and elegant arches and columns all make Dar Rocmarra a unique place to stay in the heart of the Marrakech medina.
It has five en-suite bedrooms, all with air-conditioning, and a plunge pool for all guests. Each bedroom has been individually designed by the English owners; however, whilst all are different in style, all offer the highest level of comfort. The Douria Suite can accommodate four people on request.
A sunny courtyard is shaded by a 100 year old Olive tree. The sunken Bhou (seating area) with its cosy open fire and sumptuous velvet cushions is a lovely place to relax, read, catch-up on emails, take a pre-dinner drink, or just listen to the water trickle into the petal-strewn dipping pool.
The roof terrace offers dramatic views over the roof tops of Marrakech towards the snow-capped mountain. You can recline on sofas or sun loungers and soak up the sun, take breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just enjoy a drink under the pergola and watch the sun set. There is also a cooling shower.
The exceptional in-house Moroccan cuisine – prepared by the head-chef, Jamila – is available for Lunch or Dinner service and comes highly recommended. However, you are just a few minutes walk from some of the most renowned restaurants of Marrakech.

Bijou room
Double room.
Ground floor room, elegantly decorated in a new Moroccan style with intimate lighting, embroidered fabrics, and original cedar wood beams. The platform double bed is set into a tadelakt arched headboard. The ensuite has a polished tadelakt walk-in shower.

Berber room

This ground floor room is furnished in a way that is simple, yet stylish. Decorated with pebble detailing, original cedar wood beamed ceiling and comfortable double bed, this room has a spacious feel and on request can easily accommodate a third person with the addition of a single bed. The en-suite shower room is finished in floor to ceiling in traditional polished tadelakt.

Sahara room
Double room.
This first floor room is undoubtably eclectic in style. Expect large hand-carved cedar wood bed, berber straw and clay walls, with rich African colours and furnishings, plus the original cedar wood beamed ceilings transport you to the Moroccan country side. The large bath, which is easily big enough to fit two, is sculpted from traditional tadelakt and comes with an over head shower. The room also offers outside seating area overlooking the courtyard.

Johara room
Double room.
This luxurious first floor room features crystal chandeliers, silks, velvet chairs, polished tadelakt walls, large sumptuous memory foam bed, original cedar wood beamed ceiling, along with ornate coving and dimmer lighting. All of this makes the Johara a very romantic space, perfect for a romantic getaway. The striking black polished tadelakt en-suite features a large sculpted bath, easily big enough to fit two, with an over head shower.

Douria Suite
Double or Twin room, with two extra beds on request.
The Douria Suite is accessed by its own private staircase. It has an open plan layout, with elegant arches, open fire place and carved furniture. This capacious room has a super king-size bed, and hanging Moroccan lamps. The private lounge, with its arched windows and opaque glass skylight, can be converted to accommodate two extra people (25 euros per person per night), if so desired. The polished tadelakt bathroom has a large sculpted bath and over head shower. It also enjoys access to the first floor balcony and roof terrace.

Dar Rocmarra is available to rent exclusively. This offers up to 12 guests the full, uninterupted use of the capacious Douria suite and 4 luxury rooms. This is perfect for a large family, a birthday celebration, small event or group of friends.
