From the moment you walk through the door of Riad Jonan you enter an oasis of calm and tranquillity. The Riad is complemented with hand made furniture from the craftsmen of the Medina with designs and ideas from the English owners, and is situated in the Royal Quarter of the Medina Close to the Saadien Tombs. It has recently been extended and now has 11 rooms or suites.
The entrance hall opens into the pretty courtyard with hand laid terracotta tiled floors, mosaic tiled fountain, trees and flowering plants, one of the areas where breakfast can be taken. Passing from one riad into its former neighbour, one enters a second courtyard with a heated plunge pool for those that need to cool down in the summer months, or to dip their feet whilst relaxing in the summer evenings.
The ground floor houses two superior rooms and one deluxe room, and these tend to be cooler in the warmer months. Also on the ground floor is the salon with comfortable seating and an Arabian style open fireplace, a small dining area for cosy evening meals in the cooler months, satellite television, English speaking channels and music system.
The first floor comprises eight more bedrooms all en-suite and with heating and air-conditioning. All the rooms overlook the courtyard and fountain. From this level is the blue Domed stairwell that leads to the roof terrace. The roof terrace is another place where you may take breakfast or other refreshments.
We regret that we cannot accept children under the age of 14 years due to the unguarded pool and high terraces.

"We had a wonderful stay at Riad Jonan. The staff were friendly, the location was really good, the breakfast was lovely. The 2 courtyards, the plunge pool and the roof terrace were lovely places to be if you wanted to enjoy the lovely weather, or have breakfast, a drink or dinner and it gave you a great alternative to being in your room. The bedroom we were in was lovely, big and clean. The whole Riad is done up to a very high standard and lots of attention to detail. I can highly recommend this Riad."

"Unassuming entrance leads you to one of the prettiest riads in Marrakech. Nice, cool and spacious rooms with the perfect blend of western amenities and morrocan style.
The service is well above the norm, always available.
Being in the old part of the Casbah, you're in the middle of the 'real' Marrakech and only 10-15 min walk from the souks.
The food and drinks are top notch as well - lunch menu slightly bizzarely includes thai food but it was actually an excellent change from your daily tagini diet."
