Located a few hundred metres from the Saadian tombs in the Kasbah the Riad Amira is a calm and tranquil utopia that is desirable to retire to after a bustling day in Marrakech. Accessible by car, a rarity in the Medina, the streets surrounding the Riad are very clean and safe given its proximity to the Kings Palace. Views of the Koutobia, the Atlas Mountains and the Saadian tombs make Riad Amira a superb place to absorb the sights and sounds of Marrakech.
The new owners Tim and Alix have vast hotel experience, having studied in the renowned Swiss Hotel School of 'Les Roches', and worked in places such as: The Breakers in Palm Beach , The Marbella Club and Le Toiny in St Bart's. Their aim is to make your stay one of those great memorable moments in life you will always look back on and tell others about. Whether that being, advice on the city life, where the best shopping is to be done or simply discussing the Marrakech lifestyle over a Mint Tea.
The Riad has 7 beautifully decorated bedrooms all with A/C and heating. Each bedroom and en suite bathroom has its own charm and individuality with vibrant colours that reflect the warm lifestyle of the fantastic city of Marrakech.
Riad Amira has been decorated with a blend of Arabic and European touches taking the best of both worlds and creating a unique environment. Several public areas that are adequately spaced so as to give the feel of having the house just for yourself give you the opportunity to relax in style.
Should you require anything during the stay the staff will always be there to cater for your needs while being discrete in their presence .
You can enjoy breakfast in the Riad wherever you wish including the roof terrace or your room. Home made crepes, croissants, bread, orange juice, coffee, tea and eggs made to your liking. Lunch and Dinner are made to order and prepared lovingly by our excellent in house chef Saadia.

"We were lucky to have great weather during our short weekend visit to Marrakech, and Riad Amira certainly lived up to all the expectations raised through trip advisor. Many hotels could take lessons on customer service from Tim and Alex. The riad was really a home-from-home and definitely the oasis from the hustle of the medina"

"From incredibly helpful email communications prior to our first visit to this great city, through to the great welcome from all the staff, we cannot recommend this place highly enough. We had a meal at the riad on our first night which we strongly recommend as it was a great introduction to the excellent tastes of the region. Great location - if you don't mind the occasional chatter of the local storks nesting nearby. We would have no hesitation staying here again."

"Have just returned from a magical stay in Marrakech - made all the more wonderful by our stay in this fab riad. It was so friendly we felt like we were at home. It was an oasis from the chaos that is the medina. Our room was very pretty with a lovely terrace outside to sit and relax with a pot of mint tea (and some pastries from the local bakers) Breakfast was served wherever you desired - being lucky enough to have sunny days we opted for the lovely roof roof terrace which has superb views over the roofscapes of the medina.
We had two meals in the evening and they were the best we had during our stay in Marrakech. The owners, Tim and Alex, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly (they even took us to the local donkey sanctuary which turned out to be one of the highlights of out visit) Really cannot fault this place - highly recommended"

"We stayed at Riad Amira for 4 nights and wished we could stay longer. It's a haven tucked away in a short alley off the Kasbah in the old Medina. It's just a door in the street which you almost miss until you step inside it's thick old walls to a beautiful treasure. The welcome was graceful and the staff are charming - helpful but not intrusive in any way, with owners Tim and Alex having just the right balance of suggestions while letting you explore.
"Breakfast was different every morning with a surprise in the basket - be it croissants or semolina Moroccan warm pancakes with yoghurt or jams or fruit. The colours are rich oranges, golds, red and turquoise dashes to pick up colours in the tiles, rugs and stained glass and of course the plunge pool. There is a wonderful roof terrace with even double-bed size sun loungers! There are several quiet corners to relax and we loved the balcony around the courtyard. First night we ate in the Riad and were treated to a wonderful home made lamb tagine - delicious. It was altogether truly wonderful. Go there and enjoy it for yourself!"
