Hipmarrakech.com - English speaking riads in Morocco

Riad Mur Akush is located in the authentic and prestigious quarter of Bab Doukkala, within 10 minutes of the famous Jemaa El Fna and easily accessible by car.

The Riad offers large and comfortable rooms and bathrooms (all air-conditioned) and plenty of common areas to enjoy peace and tranquility, after a day in the enchanting souks of Marrakech. The heart of the house beats in its patio, a large area with a wonderful feature: a magnificent fountain, which cools the house and calms the senses with its gentle murmur. The two salons cater for different moods; one is mysterious and traditional, ideal for a quiet drink or some relaxing music, the other one light and airy with an inviting fireplace and sociable seating. Our terraces offer wonderfull views over the Medina and the Altas Mountains, preferred spot for an evening drink under the stars, or breakfast under the blue sky.

To ensure you have a special stay, our capable team will organise anything for you (a special meal cooked by our in house cook, a day in a hammam, a special party) and our experienced guide will advise and plan customised trips for you (day trips to Essaouira, hiking trips to the Atlas, trips in the Sahara).

Due to its traditional architecture, the Riad is not always a very safe place for small children; although we welcome our young guests with much enthusiasm, please note that the safety of your children will be your responsibility.

"We both really enjoyed our stay with you, the staff were very helpful and were the only place of the four that we stayed in, that recognised it was our honeymoon and made us feel special so we thank you for that.
The room was lovely we liked style of it, and it had all we needed for a comfortable stay."

Stuart & Cally Burgess (April 2009)

"We had a wonderful time at the Riad and your staff looked after us so very well. Everything was just as we would like - the bed was wonderfully comfortable and bathroom was spotless too. Thank you for providing such a wonderful Riad for us with such delightful staff in Mohammad and Hassan - they couldn't have done any more for us. We met such lovely people staying at the raid too, very friendly, which makes the holiday for us."

Wendy Gough and Jeremy Hope (April 2009)

"With no other reference to Morrocan hospitality, I am sure that you have in Mohamed and his team, the very best exponents of the art. For example, our very late arrival did not deter them from rustling up the most wonderful cous-cous, mint tea and "cakes", just what we needed after the limited "comforts" on Easy Jet! We were always delighted to arrive back to our "Haven of Tranquility" in the heart of the buzzing Medina after "a turn around the town".

Zoahra, always seemed to find the time "at our convenience" to service our room and we wanted for nothing, in that respect. Indeed, the Riad itself is magnificent, I found myself taking photographs of different details here and there, we especially enjoyed the roof terrace, easily the most enjoyable breakfast location for a long time!"

David 2009

"The riad was very comfortable and tastefully furnished, especially the bed. But, most of all, the staff were fantastic. Poor Hassan had tooth problems but this did not get in his way and he was so helpful and courteous throughout our stay, as was the rest of the team. Also an excellent location as everything is walkable, even in the high temperatures."

Sandra Kaufman (May 2009 )
